Dayanes Rodriguez, LMFT

Dayanes Rodriguez, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 7 years of experience in the field. She received her master’s degree in Psychology from Albizu University in Miami, Florida.

Her expertise includes difficulties such as anxiety, depression and adjustment issues in couples, children, adolescents, and the elderly. Rodriguez also has substantial experience with infant mental health. During sessions, she utilizes action methods to promote spontaneity and creativity.

During her spare time, she loves to be with her family and travel.

Lisette Mira, LCSW

Lisette Mira, LCSW, is an experienced and well-established Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field. She is the Coordinator for Therapeutic Services at CHI’s Behavioral Health Department. Mira graduated from Florida International University with a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work.

She has extensive experience in community mental health centers, schools, inpatient and outpatient programs. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of difficulties including anxiety and mood disorders, emotion regulation, impulsivity, trauma, and relationship difficulties in adults, children and adolescents.

During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, traveling and cycling.

Tariku Menberu, APRN

Tariku Menberu is an established and proficient Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with extensive experience in the medical field. Menberu also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College where he teaches nursing students.

As a healthcare provider and educator, he is committed to serving and positively impacting the South Florida community. He is a graduate of Florida International University School of Nursing in Miami, Florida.

In his spare time, he likes to bike, spend quality time with his family and travel.

Abida Hussain, PA

Abida Hussain, PA, is a board-certified physician assistant with more than 10 years of experience as a primary care provider. She joined CHI in 2013 to help patients looking for high-quality medical care.

Hussain earned her associate degree as a Physician Assistant from Miami-Dade College.

Hussain is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, she likes to spend quality time with her family, watch comedies and travel.

Luciel Danta

Luciel Danta is a dental hygienist with more than 20 years of experience in the dentistry field. Danta started her tenure at CHI in 2016, when she joined the dental team at the West Perrine Health Center. Originally from Cuba, she graduated from Dentistry School in 1998 and worked as a dentist for 17 years until she migrated to Miami with her family in 2015.

In her spare time, Danta loves to spend time with her husband and two children, go to the beach and read.

Malena Fernandez, DDS

Dr. Malena Fernandez is a dedicated dentist with more than 10 years of experience. Born and raised in Cartagena, Colombia, she moved to the city of Barranquilla to obtain her degree as a Dentist-DDS at San Martin University.

Dr. Fernandez then moved to Miami, Florida, to obtain her Dental License at Larkin Community Hospital. Upon receiving her license, she began her practice at CHI providing comprehensive dental services to all patients.

Dr. Fernandez is a member of the American Dental Association and continuously seeks training and professional development opportunities.

Lorilee Graham, CNM

Lorilee Graham, APRN, is a highly skilled nurse and midwife with more than 25 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology. She is a graduate of the Northern Caribbean University School of Nursing in Mandeville, Jamaica. She started her tenure at CHI when she joined the program at the Brodes H. Hartley Jr. Teaching Health Center. Since then, she has worked closely with high-risk antepartum patients. Graham worked for Baptist Health System in the labor and delivery unit. She enjoyed assisting, teaching and encouraging families in the care of expectant mothers.

Lorilee is a member of the Association of Women’s Health Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses Organization (AWHONN), the American College of Nurse-Midwife Organization (ACNM) and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. In her spare time, she loves to read a good mystery book, watch old English movies, enjoys traveling, spending time with family, exercising and now has recently taken up cycling as a new hobby.

Tanya Roman, DO

Dr. Tanya Roman is Community Health of South Florida Inc’s (CHI) Chief of Pediatrics, Medical Director of School-Based Health and Faculty member at the Teaching Health Center. Parents now have the opportunity to bring their children to see Dr. Roman at the South Miami Health Center full time. She even has extended evening and weekend hours.

“At an early age, I discovered a true passion to serve the needs of children,” said Dr. Roman. “It started during my college years when I had the opportunity to work with children with Autism and other developmental disabilities.”

While in medical school, her love for pediatrics grew into a broader perspective, expanding her scope and passion for children’s healthcare.

She graduated from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine and then went on to complete her Pediatric Residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, Florida.

As a board-certified pediatrician, she is proficiently skilled in the care of newborns, children and adolescents.

In her free time, she and her husband love to travel and explore new places in Europe and South and Central America, including visiting her family in Colombia.

Abiona Redwood, MD

Dr. Abiona Redwood is Core Faculty of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) Brodes H. Hartley Jr. Teaching Health Center.

She wears many leadership hats in her role. She is responsible for the education and training of residents, medical students and allied health professionals through the implementation of a curriculum that addresses ACGME’s core competencies.

Dr. Redwood has worked on multiple quality improvement projects with CHI residents including how to address medication adherence as well as patient safety and improvement.

Dr. Redwood is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. She then moved to Miami and completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at the University of Miami Hospital/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was a Resident Clinic Director.

Angela Cala, DMD

Dr. Angela M. Cala Morales, DMD is a provider with over 7 years of experience in the dentistry field. She is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the CHI team, Dr. Cala worked for the Florida Department of Health as a Dentist for 5 years providing dental health care to the community of Miami-Dade County. She is from Colombia where she studied dentistry and enrolled in the international students’ program at Tufts in 2011.

Outside her professional activities, Dr. Cala enjoys Zumba, traveling and spending time with her family.
