The Community Action Team

The Community Action Team (CAT) focuses on children and young people between 11 and 21 who need extra support managing their mental health wellness. We offer personalized help, looking at each young person’s strengths and what they need. We work to ensure that our young people are in environments that best support them, helping them to grow and succeed.

We work to ensure that our young people are in environments that best support them, helping them to grow and succeed.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • The vaccine for children 6 months and older has been intensively tested and monitored for safety and will continue to be as children across the country receive the vaccine.
  • Relieves stress related to parenting and life stressors,
  • Clinical trials found that the vaccine side effects were mild and similar to those seen in other routine vaccinations.
  • The CDC notes that vaccination helps protect children from getting COVID-19 and reduces their risk of severe disease, hospitalizations, or developing long-term COVID-19 complications.
  • The COVID-19 vaccine has been and continues to be, the most intensely monitored vaccine in U.S. history.

WE SERVE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 11 TO 21 WHO:

  • Have a diagnosed mental health illness or other similar issues.
  • Have a family that wants to help in the treatment.

WE ACCEPT PATIENTS WHO HAVE ONE OR MORE OF THESE CHALLENGES:

  • Risk of out-of-home placement.
  • Have had two or more psychiatric hospitalizations.
  • Have had problems with juvenile justice or the police.
  • Not doing well in school or having multiple suspensions.
