CHI’s Community Health Workers are strategically located throughout Miami-Dade County to help children and families gain access to quality health care services.

They work with CHI’s health navigators to enroll children and families into health care programs such as Medicaid, Florida KidCare and the Affordable Care Act.

The benefits of Health Connect in our Community are to provide access to health insurance, primary care providers and health services. Also, health education, to help keep patients healthy and to decrease use of hospital emergency rooms for non-emergency care.
