Dr. Abiona Redwood is Core Faculty of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) Brodes H. Hartley Jr. Teaching Health Center.
She wears many leadership hats in her role. She is responsible for the education and training of residents, medical students and allied health professionals through the implementation of a curriculum that addresses ACGME’s core competencies.
Dr. Redwood has worked on multiple quality improvement projects with CHI residents including: how to address medication adherence as well as patient safety and improvement.
Dr. Redwood is a graduate Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. She then moved to Miami and completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at University of Miami Hospital/Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was a Resident Clinic Director.
