SPECIALTY: Family Medicine
SUBTITLE: Doctor of Medicine, MD
Dr. Stevens Rodney is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to patients of all ages, with a particular interest in caring for patients with complex and chronic medical conditions. His commitment to medicine was shaped by experiences caring for underserved communities and seeing firsthand the profound impact that access to quality healthcare can have on individuals and families. Born and raised in Haiti, Dr. Rodney earned his medical degree from Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina in Havana, Cuba after receiving a scholarship.
Following graduation, he returned to his hometown, where he practiced as a general practitioner in a resource-limited setting. He also participated in mobile clinic initiative that brought free medical care to rural communities in Haiti, treating patients with conditions including diabetes, heart disease, and malnutrition. In addition, he led community education sessions focused on hygiene, nutrition, sexually transmitted diseases, and mental health.
Dr. Rodney later completed his medical internship in Puerto Rico, gaining additional clinical experience and broadening his perspective on caring for diverse patient populations. He is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Creole which allows him to build meaningful connections with patients from different backgrounds. His approach to patient care is centered on listening, understanding each patient’s unique needs, and building a trusting partnership. He strives to make every patient feel heard, respected, and confident in their care.
Dr. Rodney is excited to continue serving the community here in Miami at CHI and to grow as a Family Medicine physician. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies, and playing soccer with friends.
