Ashvany Trinidad Rivera, MD

Dr. Ashvany Trinidad Rivera attended medical school at Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and later earned a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from Ponce Health Sciences University.

Her interest in psychiatry began during high school after a close friend and classmate attempted suicide because of depression. The experience profoundly impacted her, as she realized she had not recognized the signs of her friend’s struggle. Left with many unanswered questions, she became determined to better understand mental health and developed a deep fascination with the complexities of the human mind.

This formative experience inspired her commitment to the field of psychiatry and her dedication to helping individuals navigate mental health challenges through compassionate, patient-centered care. Dr. Trinidad Rivera is passionate about promoting mental health awareness, reducing stigma, and improving access to quality psychiatric care for diverse populations.
