Proper mental health care can be life-changing for children in crisis, and for this reason, CHI has embarked on a $5.5 million capital campaign to construct the Children’s Crisis Center (CCC) which will serve children from Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. To date philanthropic support from both the private and public sectors have secured over $5 million towards the campaign leaving less than $209,225.25 left to be raised for the benefit of this community resource and our most vulnerable residents in crisis.

The CCC, an 11,400 sq. ft. single-story, 24hr in-patient facility will accommodate up to 20 children at any given time and 1,000 annually.  It is designed with a residential feel for optimal functionality and a therapeutic environment. It will house a team of board-certified child/adolescent psychiatrists, social workers, counselors, and clinicians ready to care for children in crisis up to 17 years of age, regardless of their ability to pay.
