Saura Henry Ortega, MD

Dr. Saura Henry Ortega graduated from the Ross University School of Medicine. She loves Psychiatry because she has witnessed how mental health challenges can impact individuals, families, and entire communities. Dr. Henry Ortega wants to be someone who listens, supports, and empowers her patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. It’s important to her that they feel seen and heard. Dr. Henry Ortega hopes that her patients feel confident and comfortable seeking help, knowing that they are not alone, and that needing support is nothing to be ashamed of.

Beyond the clinical setting, she is passionate about breaking the stigma around mental illness through education and advocacy. I believe that mental health care should be treated with the same respect and urgency as physical health. That includes working toward decriminalizing mental illness and creating a world where compassion replaces punishment. Through community outreach, Dr. Henry Ortega plans to raise awareness, promote understanding, and help make mental health care more accessible, inclusive, and accepted.
