Dr. Jenny Parra, MD

Dr. Jenny Parra was born and raised in Cuba. She completed her medical studies at the University of Havana. Upon graduating from medical school, she completed her residency in family medicine. As a primary care physician, she worked for underserved communities as part of the Cuban Community Medicine Program in Cuba and Venezuela.

Her decision to pursue Psychiatry arose from her affinity for listening to patients’ stories, as well as learning about their cultural backgrounds. She found it inspiring to witness the improvement of patients deeply affected by mental illness, who recovered their normal functioning after receiving the appropriate therapy.

In her spare time, she likes to read and travel. Recently, Dr. Parra discovered an unknown passion for growing orchids and loves to spend her time learning about these plants.
