Dr. Fabian Ogala, MD

Dr. Fabian Ogala was born in Delta State, Nigeria, where he developed an early interest in medicine and in particular mental health.

Dr. Fabian Ogala attended Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. He also earned his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados.

During his work as an ICU and home health nurse, he realized the need for a holistic and medical management approach with psychiatric disorders. He hopes to expand access to mental health care to those who need it.

Dr. Fabian Ogala’s diverse background allows him to understand the ways different cultures perceive mental illness and how to communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones.

“I hope to continue my mission of serving the most vulnerable and underserved while at CHI,” Dr. Fabian Ogala said.

His area of interest includes child and adolescent psychiatry.

He enjoys quality time with his wife and children, volunteering, traveling, cooking, and playing soccer in his spare time.
