Dr. Michelle I. Shlafshteyn, MD

Dr. Michelle I. Shlafshteyn graduated from Saba University School of Medicine and rotated at Community Health of South Florida as a medical student. She is ecstatic to return to the psychiatry program as a resident.

Dr. Shlafshteyn is a first-generation doctor in her family and is thrilled to be pursuing her dream of becoming a psychiatrist.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she moved to Miami to complete her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami. While in university, Dr. Shlafshteyn conducted and presented research in the Department of Psychology, where her passion for psychiatry and her love of the human mind developed.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and reading books on the beach.
