Dr. Luis E. Rivera Hiraldo is a graduate of Ponce Health Sciences University. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he completed his undergraduate degree in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Puerto Rico.

Dr. Rivera Hiraldo later moved to Maryland where he participated in a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute of the NIH.

He has experience practicing as a primary care physician serving HIV patients. During that period, he realized his passion for psychiatry and the connection between mental and physical health.

In his free time, he enjoys baking, travel, and musical theater.
