Dr. Riveron, Program Director for Psychiatry, wanted to be a doctor as early as his childhood and adolescent years. He was exposed to Schizophrenia and Bipolar 1 Disorder firsthand from an early age. After graduating from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2012, Dr. Riveron pursued a psychiatry observership at the University of Miami Hospital under the mentorship of Dr. Emilio Mantero. He began his residency in Psychiatry at Larkin Community Hospital in 2014, where he completed his training in 2018.
Upon graduating from residency, he joined the Brodes H. Hartley, Jr., Teaching Health Center at Community Health of South Florida, Inc – Doris Ison Medical Center in July of 2018. In December 2018, Dr. Riveron became board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Riveron feels that he is very privileged to have been able to pursue his dream as a psychiatrist. “I hope to have the passion and dedication to provide my patients with the utmost respect and time necessary to create a better life for them and their families,” he said. Dr. Riveron enjoys playing competitive tennis among other sports, and spending time with family and closest friends.
