Cristina Colon del Toro MD

Dr. Cristina Colon Del Toro is a highly skilled and empathetic psychiatrist with experience with an ethnically diverse population. She also has extensive experience in child development and behavior. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she went to medical school in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and came back to her birth country to complete her psychiatry residency program.

During her residency, she decided to apply for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship in Puerto Rico, where she served during the last year as Chief Fellow. She loves to work with children as it gives her the opportunity to help them early in life. Dr. Colon del Toro participated in research published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry where she studied bullying and the perception of sports performance in adolescent athletes in Puerto Rico.

Dr. Colon Del Toro has the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification for both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
