The Federal Communications Commission awarded Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) with $347,850 in funding to provide telehealth resources to address the COVID-19 pandemic in the South Florida community. The funding will provide monitoring devices for patients, eConsultations with medical specialists such as cardiologists, and asthma specialists, software licenses for CHI doctors to increase their accessibility to patients via telehealth and more.

The South Florida not for profit comprehensive health care company has been serving the community for 45 years. The award marks a milestone for the agency as the Sterling award is a difficult accomplishment that only few companies are able to obtain.
