I am filled with gratitude and pride as I reflect on the incredible work happening across our organization and the strong sense of community that continues to define who we are.
The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce recently awarded CHI with the Community Health Impact Award during its Sunshine Awards luncheon. The award is a testament to the outstanding work and compassion from our team on a daily basis.
Last month, CHI hosted our annual Golf Tournament at the beautiful Biltmore Hotel. I am proud to share that this year’s event raised over $100,000 to support our programs and services. This tremendous achievement would not have been possible without the continued generosity of our sponsors and supporters who believe in our mission. Their commitment to giving back allows us to expand access to quality healthcare and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve. To all who participated, thank you for making a difference.
We also celebrated one of our most cherished traditions, Cultural Awareness Day. Each year, this event brings our CHI family together to honor the many cultures, backgrounds, and traditions that make us who we are. It is always inspiring to see our staff come together in celebration of unity and mutual respect. Our culture is one of CHI’s greatest strengths, and I am so proud that we continue to carry this tradition forward year after year.
As we reflect on these successes, I want to emphasize the importance of continuing to advocate for health centers like CHI and those across the nation. Community health centers are a vital lifeline for millions of Americans, providing accessible, affordable care to all who need it. I encourage you to reach out to your local officials. Your voice matters and together, we can help ensure that health centers continue to receive the funding and support needed to train the next generation of healthcare professionals and serve our communities for years to come.
As we head into the holiday season, I am reminded of how important it is to take care of ourselves and each other. This time of year often brings travel, gatherings, and celebrations, so I encourage everyone to stay up to date on flu immunizations and take the necessary steps to keep yourself and your loved ones healthy. Let’s continue to carry into the months ahead the spirit of compassion, gratitude, and service that defines CHI.
Thank you for being part of the CHI family and for your continued commitment to our mission. Together, we are building healthier, stronger communities today and for the future.
