Dr. Natalie Abad earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida and went on to attend the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University. There, she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. She later went on to complete her pediatric residency training at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York- Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where she was on a Community Pediatrics Track and gained extensive experience caring for children of all ages and all medical complexities.
Dr. Abad was born and raised in Miami, Florida. From a very young age, she developed a passion for serving others, a value that continued to be nurtured through her community service work and her summers spent in Ecuador with her grandparents. This time instilled in her a deep appreciation for compassion, education, and service for others. Children’s health and well-being have always been at the forefront of her community-oriented mission within medicine.
Dr. Abad has special interests in early childhood development and in caring for children with special health care needs. She is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with families and addressing both medical and social factors that impact a child’s health. She’s honored to be able to work for the community that raised her.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Abad enjoys spending time with her family, planning trips and exploring new countries. A true Miami native, she loves swimming, going to the beach, boating, and anything that connects her to the ocean.
