Sheila Michel, APRN

Sheila L. Michel is an ARNP in Family Medicine at Community Health of South Florida, Inc. She graduated from Miami Regional University in 2024 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Michel is a foreign-educated physician who graduated from the State University Medical School of Haiti in 2005.

She worked for two years at Beracah Medical Center at La Pointe des Palmistes, in Port-de Paix after completing her required year of social services. There she discovered her passion for taking care of the underserved population. In 2008, she moved to Cap-Haitien, where she worked at Haitian Ministries providing care to different communities in the Northern part of Haiti. With her husband she also managed weekly mobile clinics in different remote areas for more than two years.

In 2010, Michel moved to the US with her family where she became a Registered Nurse and worked as a mental health nurse at Wellpath Recovery Solutions for about a decade. In 2023, she went back to school and obtained her master’s in Family Medicine. She is excited to continue her journey at CHI.

Michel enjoys gardening, house hunting, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her church community.
