Dr. Edwin Bosa-Osorio is a faculty member in the Family Practice Program at The Brodes H. Hartley Jr. Teaching Health Center at CHI. Board-certified as a Family Physician by the American Board of Family Medicine, he joined CHI’s Coconut Grove Health Center in 2013.
Dr. Bosa-Osorio, who has a friendly and humorous bedside manner, is passionate about caring for patients of any age and condition.
Born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico, he moved to the Big Apple to attend New York University. But missing the warm climate, he transferred to the University of Miami (UM) where he not only graduated with a bachelor’s degree but earned his medical degree from the UM School of Medicine in 1983.
He continued as a Hurricane by completing his residency program in 1986 in the Department of Family Medicine. He couldn’t get away from UM, having taught as an associate professor in both academic and clinical positions. He also held several positions while tenured at the Jessie Trice Community Health Center, including the Chief Medical Officer of Clinical Affairs.
Dr. Bosa-Osorio’s hobbies and special interests include basketball, landscaping and handyman work.
