Did you know that men are less likely than women to visit a doctor?

As a result, they may experience complications down the line, as health conditions go unnoticed or are detected too late. This hesitancy to go to the doctor stems from stereotypical masculine qualities, aka the notion that men have to “man up” no matter the circumstance. As a result, they believe they should hide their pain, both physical and mental. We know. We see this every day.

That’s why, in honor of Men’s Health Month, we’re releasing our newest webinar, Cooking and Conversation with Marine Larry Wilson, moderated by our CHI doctors. Join Marine veteran Wilson as he speaks to a group of men just like you about health and wellness. Enjoy two easy-to-follow health demonstrations, learn about the importance of going to the doctor, and get a glimpse into the former Marine’s life in Afghanistan.

Topics include:

  • Two demonstrations:
    • A simple healthy cooking lesson for everyday meals
    • A five to 10-minute fitness routine
  • The importance of annual check-ups, health screenings and vaccinations
  • Ways to improve your physical health through healthy eating and fitness
  • Health beyond the physical and how it can affect men mentally, emotionally and spiritually
  • Wilson’s experience as a marine in Afghanistan, his challenges for survival, and his transition from military life to civilian life
