Dr. Stevenson Chery is an established and highly skilled physician who obtained his medical degree at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Chery is an avid Florida Gator fan, obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Florida. Upon completion of his undergraduate program, he obtained a Master’s in Education at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Chery’s degree in education has helped him tutor his colleagues throughout his journey in medicine; however, he takes pride in teaching his patients about their medical conditions.
Dr. Chery has been heavily involved in many community-centric activities. As a medical student, he was involved with Mammography Arts Initiative helping to provide free mammograms for women in the South Florida community. He also co-founded a non-profit organization, KORE Haiti, Inc. – with the goal of providing medical care to underprivileged areas in South Florida and Haiti by addressing the social determinants of health. While completing his residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, he continued to be involved in the community. He is part of the Haitian American Coalition of South Florida, Health Taskforce. In his spare time, Dr. Chery enjoys cooking, playing soccer, working out, traveling, the beach and spending time with his family.
