Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
James Durogene, APRN, joined CHI’s Martin Luther King Jr. Clinica Campesina in 2018. He is currently an APRN in the Urgent Care Center caring for the residents of Homestead and its neighboring communities.
He graduated from medical school in 2004 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at State University of Haiti’s School of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2008.
He graduated from the Accelerated Foreign Educated Physicians (FEP) to MSN Program of Florida International University’s Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences in 2017.
Prior to immigrating to the United States in 2011, he ran a private clinic as an obstetrician-gynecologist in Port-au-Prince. Durogene also worked as an Adjunct Nurse Professor at American Medical Academy and Azure College. He has also worked as a Registered Nurse for North Shore Medical Center in Miami, Florida.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, reading medical journals and traveling.
